Skigrlz offers a number of lodge-based hiking packages in Whistler, British Columbia, as well as week-long backpacking trips in Alaska and British Columbia. In the summer (June-August), our relaxing lodge-based trips allow you to hike during the day, and then spend the evenings relaxing at natural hotsprings or around the fire. Lodge-based trips are comfortable, and let you set the pace for how active you want to be – these trips include gourmet food and optional yoga instruction to complement day-hikes in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia.

Backpacking trips are more strenuous as they require carrying gear and fjording streams, climbing over rugged, trail-less terrain. We offer a wide range of trips, from arctic expeditions in Alaska, to more gentle week-long beach trips in British Columbia. Our favorite trip is a 5 day women’s backpack trip on the wilderness beaches of British Columbia – sun, surf and sand -and no one out there on the beaches except us!

Every year in December and January, we offer a number of backpacking options in South America, including a ten-day hiking trip that travels between hotsprings and a remote mountain retreat in Ecuador. We hike through cloudforest in the headwaters of the Amazon, and end with two days of yoga and relaxing on the white sand beaches of the Pacific coast.

Our partner company, Equinox Expeditions, offers many other trips include alpine hiking, mountaineering and rafting in Alaska and British Columbia. Many of Equinox’s backpacking and base-camp trips coincide with the caribou migration, where thousands of caribou pour over the hills of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
